What I see is what I think it is

What I see is what I think it is, is a installation project where planks of sheet metal are presented as private space within a public space.
With focus on scenarios where visual perception is the main input of obtaining information of one’s surroundings. This project is based upon my own experience in Japan and it is a investigation on how our perception of things and places, basing on our previous experiences can affect how we vision things in the present moment, in our realities.
During the time abroad, I questioned myself about my surroundings, about what is real and what is not, how much of it is created by my illusions?
