A shelf is never finished until it is used, it is an empty space to be filled with objects, books and memories. With its heavy and stable stance this shelf can hold it all.
The shelf was made by a former dancer, now artist & designer, with the strategy of working like a lightning bolt. Through the process I was following the path with the least resistance, changing direction when needed and going with the flow. This project started with the intention of building a media furniture with all that that entails and I ended up with a changeable green shelf with an integrated lightsource. In this project I’ve tried to figure out my own design process and investigate what my chosen colours, green and pink, give to the simplistic construction.
