Buoyancy

We obtain most of our information in a fixed position, that causes our spatial awareness to decay. We need movement to maintain our senses. We are very good at talking about the importance of moving in middle school, but as we grow older, the importance seems to be of less importance, when it actually is more important. This project is an attempt to open up the discussion for alternative ways of sitting and our way of perceiving furniture. My intention is for the movement of the furniture to encourage a new perspective of seating and to achieve the sensation of floating. The purpose is more about the experience of sitting rather than the ergonomic benefits. These are my contributions to what we normally perceive as seating furniture.
