Using the body as a starting point Jaana Sundström’s work addresses topics such as disgust and lust, queer theory and physical sensation.
Growth (Jag har varit ingen och berusats av att inte behöva vara någon) is a cyclical work, divided into five chapters and 3 parts, with neither beginning nor end. Together the chapters address the experience of rediscovering, reshaping and rebuilding one’s body, one’s relationship with the world and, above all, oneself. It is a critical questioning of what has been, with longing for a change.
