Noises Obtained
Noises Obtained invites reflection on themes of impermanence, the overlooked, and the interplay between space, sound, and objects. It challenges the observer to find a greater meaning in the sparse and the transient, and to engage with the narrative of the materials and objects that comprise our lived environment.
Through this work, I seek to evoke an introspective engagement with the spaces we inhabit and the stories they silently tells.
Benches, crafted with precise measurements and aligned in strict rows, directed the viewer’s gaze towards a wall-mounted amplifier.
A rhythmic thump and rumble from a track playing through the speakers, a soundscape designed to envelop the listener.
Objects intrinsic to the project’s conception, are being displayed like artifacts on an altar.
