Modification of Tools
Materials: tattooed calfskin, hand-dyed horsehair, linen thread, steel, concrete
Modification of tools is an investigation of craft traditions from an industrial context. It is based on utility items and materials- a knife, skinning knife, antlers, fur shoes, wooden cup, tin salt strip and a handwoven ribbons. I have worked from a life-world perspective where the ribbon becomes an extension of the vertical body and through the act of weaving I orient myself in different worlds. I navigate in the gap of dreams and realities, between function and decoration
