The space between
This project is an exploration of form, the dialogue between my hands and the materials I have workdes with. My great interest in textiles generally lies in the inherent qualiteis of the materials. In this study, I have used my chosen material as a kind of compass where each material has received my focus to convey its possibilities. Through felting wool, I was able to create a material bades on my needs and feel the new material take shape with my hands.
The Space between portrays the line in its simplicity yet complexity within direction and movement, the illusion of depth and space. By adding movement, the space between the forms and me changes .
I often strive to convey duality in my works, and the line gives me an abstract form but also a powerful tool for artistic expression that is both visually and emotionally complex.
