Kan innehålla spår av en värld som faller samman

I think about drunken trees, permafrost.
I think about watermelon snow.
I think about how the ability to navigate is distorted by living in a city that is constantly being rebuilt.
I think about loneliness.
I think about the rapid development of technology.
I think about the pink concrete barriers outside our university.
I think about the mountains of clothes in the world.
I think about the mountain of clothes next to my washing machine.
I think about the fact that I can see the sky from our apartment.
In our last apartment we could only see facades and straight into our neighbor’s kitchen. He drank semi-skimmed milk. I didn’t see the sky in 5 years.
I think about the puddles of water that cover the asphalt when the snow’s melted. The water has nowhere to go.
I think about electricity. I think way too much about electricity. I think about not forgetting to unplug the charging cable from the electrical outlet before I leave my home.

I think too much.

In my degreework I investigate how digitalt collage, digital printing and quilting can portray my inner chaos. The chaos consists of anxiety about how the world is developing and the small worries of everyday life.
The result is a landscape where all parts are taken from reality. Maybe you can recognize it? But you can also get lost in it, because the landscape does not really exist. Arranging things in my own little system and making collages has become a calming ritual, a way of catching up with my thoughts and ultimately to try and understand how the world is connected.
