Tvillingspår

In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, concepts like metaverse and digital twins are ushering us into a new era. Within this context, Tvillingspår emerges as a speculative design project, delving into the potential applications of Virtual Reality and 3D-scanning within the field of crime investigation.

In Tvillingspår, photogrammetry is used to create detailed 3D models of rooms, particularly focusing on fictional crime scenes. This led to the development of a fictional crime scene that could be investigated using VR technology. Users can interact with the virtual environment through a dynamic menu and explore the crime scene, examine evidence, and access a range of different features based on the needs identified by crime investigators & experts in the area.

A speculative approach to using these technologies has provided insights into the potential benefits and challenges the technology faces.
