Grener (None-site)
Stian A. Rasmussen (b. 1996) is an artist from Lørenskog, Norway. Rooted in photography and sculpture, his practice investigates how the forest shapes human perception, memory and spatial understanding. Through a dialogue between materials and landscapes, Rasmussen examines the tension between presence and absence, connection and disconnection.
Rasmussen’s work, Grener (non-site) is operating in the space between the original landscape and its displacement into the gallery. By rethinking fragments of the forest into sculptural and photographic elements, he creates an installation that invites the viewer to reconsider their own spatial perception and role within the environments they inhabit. Rasmussen’s use of play and materials connected to the forest, highlights the landscapes fragments that he has curiously co-acted with.
