49 minuter
The project explores the experience of entering a bank office for the first time as a woman. The bank lobby serves as a passage between home and financial advice, and between feelings of uncertainty and the opportunity to make informed personal financial decisions. Here, minutes are spent in waiting, minutes that should feel uplifting and inclusive.
The design proposal explores what an equal space might look like and how a female-coded environment can take shape. The female-coded bank lobby features sophisticated solutions and a tonality that acknowledges the woman in the room, without excluding the man. The interior architecture makes room for everyone however, the female body and her needs have been made the norm for the design.
The result is pointing out what is currently missing in many banking environments, even though it should be self-evident.
