The creatures of the forest witness The Wise One accusing the girl of acting like a human. Working as an explorer from The Utopia — one of many dimensions — the girl and the wolf are tasked to document all living beings of Earth in a quest to preserve nature and offer them a safe haven.
Lisa Pettersson photographs taxidermied animals, humans, trees, stones and rivers, inviting the viewer to a photographic fantasy as a way to digest harsh reality or to fantasize ways of making a better world.
The ”Expedition Earth” universe is built by the artist’s hands, from pencil sketches, photographs, writing, layering and composing, 3D-models, animation, to finished images and installations.
