ERROR // RETRY // REPEAT explores collapse, overproduction, and contemporary systems through weaving, sculpture, and reconstruction.
The work emerged from thoughts on the accelerating rhythm of contemporary life. Burning forests, flooded homes, endless production. A world constantly expanding while simultaneously fracturing, shifting, and reforming.
Through digital double weave, textile forms resembling unstable worlds are constructed and later broken open again. Layers are cut apart, threads pulled loose, and surfaces disrupted. Mistakes in the weaving process, broken warp threads, and material resistance became central to the work rather than problems to correct.
The glitches function both as a visual language and as a way of thinking about control, structure, and collapse. As the woven surfaces open up, hidden layers, tensions, and connections begin to emerge. The suspended forms exist between tension and release, between something tightly held together and something in transformation. Chains hold the spheres together while also evoking restriction, weight, and violence.
Rather than presenting finished or stable worlds, the installation explores what can become visible through rupture, instability, and material negotiation.
