Tova, Tufta, Tveta – A landscape within and without
Come closer, enter the portal of my roots and open your senses. Can you hear it? Smell it, feel it? This is my landscape, within and without.
This installation explores the nature of my home region, Huskvarna, Södra Vätterbygden, Småland – a unique landscape by the lake Vättern with a flora of high biodiversity. The tufted pieces are installed like a scene or a portal into the landscape. It’s both a map, a flora and a saga of my ancestors – embedded in me through my inherited folklore-dress from Tveta härad, made of fibers that has been cared for in generations.
