Homelike
An examination of what makes a home a home, told through the memories, stories and other traces the objects we fill our homes with carry or are. By starting from my own home and what the objects I have filled it with adds to the home feeling, I have created this scene. The work goes between the real home and the fiction of the work. To achieve this I have worked with different techniques, embroidery, weaving, textile collage and installation. Different elements of the home are represented in the different parts of the work: the rag rug, the armchair, the dresser, the clothing chair, the backdrop and the dog toys.
