Bli Varse Hundratals Linjer och Krökningar
In my final project, Bli Varse Hundratals Linjer och Krökningar, (To Sense Hundreds ofLines and Curves), I explore the tactile and sculptural qualities of weaving. The work revolves around a desire to understand the world, to bring things together, and to grasp how they function – a somewhat childlike attempt to approach a kind of ontological truth.
Through weaving, I have explored a way of approaching the landscape from both a geometric and a sensory perspective. Using a double-weave technique, I create woven sculptures that can unfold and expand into space.
I see the installation and the woven pieces as an abstract representation of fields, landscapes, maps, the universe, and geometry – a reflection of how I experience and make sense of the world.
