A steady wobble

A steady wobble is an exploration into the abstract image through weaving in a floor loom. By methodically balancing between chance and calculations when investigating the traditional techniques of resist dyeing, rag weave and plain weaving this project explores color, pattern effect, composition and shape in a series of weaves. By playing with unwoven threads, sewing several woven pieces together and patternmaking in the ikat technique movements and a dynamic are created in the woven picture.
