Arbetshäst
Arbetshäst is a stool that explores how a piece of furniture can grow and change over time. It is made to stay with you through life. Inspired by the workhorse, strong, reliable and steady, I wanted to create a stool that is just as useful and long lasting.The shape is simple and open. It has a clear look, but does not force the user to sit or use it in a certain way. It can be placed sideways or upright, changed as needed, and used in different ways by different people.

I chose wood as the material. Wood is an honest and living material. Marks from use are welcome and give it character. For me, signs of use mean something more. Scratches tell stories.
Arbetshäst is my way of showing that even a small piece of furniture can carry something bigger, a stool that stays with its user over time, through generations and life changes.
