Untitled (1920-2026)
In Untitled (1920–2026) Ditte Blom questions what a photograph is. Through a material exploration she draws attention to the traces and personal imprints that cling to the photographic surface. She insists on making the overlooked visible, in an attempt to move closer to the photographic remnants that once belonged to strangers.
In her artistic practice, Blom works with found photographs purchased at flea markets and online auctions. She is interested in the photographic traces we leave behind, and the hidden stories embedded within the photographic object.
