The series “Four Fashion Fantasies – A sculptural approach to fashion” consists of four sculptures crafted from steel and fabric. Each piece seeks to capture and magnify the immaterial story of four selected fashion garments.
Central to this series of sculptures is how fashion functions as a nonverbal language between us.
In “Denim Horse” the casualness of a pair of jeans is shown. ”Biker” conveys the toughness and protective nature of a leather jacket, evoking the feeling of a second skin. The transparent slitted dress with the inviting leg and clip on nails in the sculpture “Hello you” talks about the temporality of dressing up for one night only. “Hold me” gives security and warmth, holding onto everything needed to be held.
