Rehearsing Resilience
What if our cities could feed themselves? Global food supply chains are increasingly threatened by ecological destruction and geopolitical conflict, and Sweden is no exception. Rehearsing Resilience explores how to reclaim and reimagine our food systems to build local self-sufficiency and regenerate ecosystems.
Through planting nut trees with Matskog and starting a communal garden in my housing association, I have seen people organise around care, long-term thinking, and collective responsibility, even in the face of resistance. Cultivating these principles is essential for resilience.
In this project, rehearsing means testing and embodying new ways of living and being. My work blends speculative design, participatory tools, and hands-on practice to show how individual and collective actions can help us practice and realise more resilient futures.
