Yarn, metal, mediums

Blending traditional textile techniques with non traditional mediums my work often lands in large sculptural pieces. I am strongly lead by intuition and curiosity.
This piece is a collection of figures that constitutes an exploratory work on corporeality, fragility and the perception of lightness. The Tribe consists of six figures born out of curiosity with questions such as: – How can different yarns affect characteristics like solidness and sheerness and how can I play with the perception of these characteristics?
I have made figures and experimented with how you see them. Some parts are stiff and others move by the slightest breeze. Knitting directly on to the metal, using it like a knitting ring, but also making preknitted parts and forging them together. This project is about many things but these words have been very present: dimensions, shadowplay, secrets.
In other words, I have discovered new worlds.
