 Artcycle

Den här texten finns bara tillgänglig på engelska.

Artcycle begins with imprints of time – holes, stains, worn seams, and faded fabrics. These visible signs of use, often overlooked or seen as flaws, become points of care and transformation.
The project treats visible traces of use, such as holes, stains, and worn fabrics, not as flaws to be hidden, but as stories to be amplified. Through embroidery as a method of attentive repair, garments with emotional significance are transformed – shaped by time, use, and memory.

Each intervention responds to the garment’s material history and, when possible, to the personal connection of its owner. Working slowly, stitch by stitch, the process listens closely to what the fabric wants to say, staying near its rhythm.

Artcycle moves between artistic practice, sustainable fashion, and emotional durability. It reflects on how wear connects to identity, and how mending can be both personal and political: a quiet gesture of care, a resistance to disposability, and a way of preserving the stories held in what has been worn.
