Bread but also Roses<\/h2>\n

The project \u201cBr\u00f6d men ocks\u00e5 rosor\u201d explores how the countryside is represented in<\/p>\n

documentary film, and how these representations relate to lived reality. Many portrayals of rural life tend to move between two extremes: either a nostalgic image of the countryside as a timeless \u201chome,\u201d open to romanticized abstraction, or a critical depiction focused on industrial agriculture and working conditions. My film seeks to move beyond this divide.<\/p>\n

Through an autoethnographic approach, I place myself within the film and engage directly with people living and working in rural areas. By combining interviews, observation, and personal reflection, the project creates a space where different perspectives can meet. Rather than presenting one more \u201ctruthful image\u201d of the countryside, the film explores how meaning is shaped through both lived experience and cultural imagination.<\/p>\n
