Quite often, I think of you<\/h2>\n

My degree project explores themes of identity, heritage, and family history. The project is rooted in my own family\u2019s story, as my grandparents came to Sweden from Poland after World War II. Through photographs, letters, diaries, and conversations with relatives, an autobiographical graphic novel gradually took shape.<\/p>\n

The outcome is the first part of the autobiographical graphic novel Quite often, I think of you<\/em>. The story revolves around my relationship with my grandparents and the silence that has shaped my family\u2019s history. Through the combination of text and image, the project explores how what was left unsaid can carry meaning and continue to affect later generations.<\/p>\n

The project also demonstrates how illustration and comics can be used to process both personal and historical experiences. At the same time, I wanted to create a story that readers could connect with and reflect on, even though it is based on my own family\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
