Tago

‘Tago’ is an indoor family of play objects designed for preschool children aged 3 to 6. It focuses on three key areas: bodily movements, sensory exploration, and symbolic play, by turning indoor play into adventurous activity.

Children’s active physical lifestyles are essential for their holistic growth, yet many indoor environments restrict movement, favoring sedentary activities. “Tago” addresses this by encouraging active play indoors.

Sensory exploration is another crucial aspect of “Tago.” Traditional indoor toys often have uniform textures, limiting sensory experiences. The design began with exploring various textures and their impact on children’s sensory perception.

Symbolic play is vital for developing imagination and creativity. Unlike many indoor toys that are restricted and predetermined, “Tago” introduces ambiguous shapes, such as the “donut” design. This shape fosters open-ended play by offering various affordances and play possibilities, allowing children to use their imaginations freely.

“Tago” promotes physical activity, sensory exploration, and imaginative play, creating a dynamic indoor experience that supports children’s development even in limited outdoor play environments.
